Nick Zungoli has worked from his home and studio, "THE EXPOSURES GALLERY", since 1979. Nationally recognized and the Great Valley's pre-eminent landscape photographer, his original fine art photographs and posters have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world. Nick has contributed to publications such as Sierra Magazine, Nature Conservancy Magazine and Popular Photography. His work is included in the private collections of a diverse group of distinguised art enthusiast's including film maker Steven Spielberg, musician Quincy Jones, author Alice Walker and Wall Street's Standard & Poors. He recently released a beautiful coffee table book entitled "The Great Valley" containing over 140 color photographs spanning 25 years in the region. Nick also offers workshops in digital photography at his gallery in Sugar Loaf, New York and abroad in Campagnia, Italy.
The magic of the unfolding seasons and changing light of the valley have provided a wealth of inspiration for the dramatically captured images in his most popular body of work - the "Dreamscape" series. Very Monet-like is Nick's sense of the mystery and poetry of mist - the substance of dreams, which combined with his masterful eye for light and composition, make the colors seem more richly harmonious than even nature herself can make them. Each of his works captures a feeling oflove for the landscape not often expected in photographs.
Other portfolios uniquely reflect the cultural and natural beauty of his extensive travels, including Italy, Ireland, The Amazon, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, Israel, Paris, Block Island, Valley of Fire, Acadia, Bryce & Zion Canyons, The Tetons and Big Sur. A self-taught photographer, Nick Zungoli turned his passion for travel and the outdoors into a successful career. Nick employs all formats, from 35mm to 6x45 and 6x7 medium formats to 8x10 view cameras, using both film and digital imagery, but maintains that it is the person, not the camera, that creates meaningful photographs.
